Antarctic Expeditions

I have always been drawn to extreme things.
Antarctica is all about extremes, and that's why I decided to go there...
no matter what it took.

My first time to Antarctica was the least extreme of my three trips, however,
the scenery and abundant life were definitely unforgettable.

I took
Antarctica 21's Air-Cruise program,
which directly flew us to Antarctica from Punta Arenas in Chile.
It avoided the 4-day sail across and back again through the infamous rough seas
of the Drake Passage.

We didn't see any Emperor penguins on this trip.

Antarctica is addictive. Once you have been there, you always want to go back...

In the same year of my first trip, I went to Antarctica again!

This time, I took White Desert's South Pole & Emperors adventure trip,
hoping to photograph emperor penguins.

Unfortunately, we ended up only visiting the South Pole...

I couldn't give up my dream of seeing emperor penguins in person... I finally found a real polar expedition company
ALE!

I could even camp next to the Emperor penguin colony!
