One of the most unforgettable memories from my first trip to Antarctica is the iceberg viewing expedition. It was like a gigantic ice sculpture museum. These magnificent formations are truly masterpieces of creation. The sheer intensity of the neon blue or turquoise color, the intricate detail, the grand scale...are beyond words or imagination.

In this composition, the bright colors and jagged surface of floating icebergs naturally draw the eye up to the glacier and snowy mountains in the distance.

I intentionally painted the water an eerily dark green color to highlight the majestic icebergs and emphasize the mysterious atmosphere.
